Contract Security Officers

Our Contract Security Officers are the armed officers we provide in support of U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Justice and Department of Defense contract operations.

These officers are State certified and have completed more than seventy (70) hours of initial comprehensive training prior to contract assignment. Additional training includes more than 40 hours annually.

ARES currently employs more than 1000 officers we classify as Contract Security Officers performing across the nation. These ARES security professionals provide for the protection of the Federal Government personnel, property and information at the following agencies:

  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security
  • U.S. Department of Treasury
  • Department of Defense

ARES' Contract Security Officers provide the following security functions:

  • Armed Entrance/Exit Control Post Manning
  • Roving Control Posts
  • Traffic Control
  • Control, Issuance and Storage of Keys
  • Physical Security, Law and Order
  • Emergency Response
